UFC 132 Results

OK, so it’s November 12, 1993 and I am more excited than I have been in a LONG time!! Some new Ultimate Fighting Championship tournament, with fights to the FINISH is coming on tonight! I’m in the army, and I study the martial arts. In other words, I love combat! Wow, how cool is this going to be?! In fact, check out the poster for tonights event…

As expected, UFC 1 did not disappoint, and so began this new sport we now know and love known as MMA, led by the UFC!

Now fast forward to July 2, 2011 and we just got treated to UFC 132!! Can you believe that? It blows my mind, when I stop and think about the ride so far from UFC 1 to UFC 132! Well, I get just as excited now as I did almost eighteen years ago! Now instead of paying a few bucks (I was one of the approximately 86,000 fans that bought the UFC 1 PPV!) and recording the fights on my VCR….you can watch fights on facebook, SPIKE TV, and of course good old PPV. MMA has come a long way!

Alright, enough about me and my excitement and passion for our sport (although you know that you can relate!). Here is the lowdown on yet another awesome UFC card.

MMA Junkie reports that UFC 132 held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, drew 12,947 fans, for a live gate of $2.3 million.
