(PRESS RELEASE) PITTSBURGH – Pinnacle Fighting Championships today announced that its upcoming event, PinnacleFC 7: Pittsburgh Challenge Series, will be streamed via Internet Pay-Per-View via GoFightLive this coming Saturday night, May 24th.
The broadcast will begin at 7 p.m. ET live from the Greentree Sportsplex in Pittsburgh, and will feature the six pro bouts and six amateur bouts set to make up the PinnacleFC 7 card. In the main event, rising star Cody “No Love” Garbrandt (3-0 / fighting out of Sacramento, CA via Uhrichsville, OH) will face James Porter (7-2 / fighting out of Ft. Wayne, IN) for the first-ever PinnacleFC professional bantamweight title. A member of Team Alpha Male, the former Ohio state champion wrestler has exploded in the media heading into this bout, being featured in numerous articles locally and on MMAjunkie.com and TheMMACorner.com. Porter comes in with five submission victories in his seven wins.
The rest of the main card features some PinnacleFC mainstays in pivotal bouts, including Khama “The Death Star” Worthy (5-2 / fighting out of Pittsburgh, PA) and Justin “The Hawk” Steave (5-4 / fighting out of Weirton, WV). The two Fight Club Pittsburgh products will compete in separate bouts, as Worthy takes on upset-minded Tennessee native Anthony “The Spoiler” Morgan (5-2 / fighting out of Seiverville, TN) and Steave will face eight-time Bellator MMA veteran Brylan VanArtsdalen (9-10 / fighting out of Philadelphia, PA).
The night’s other two professional bouts will feature the respective pro debuts of a pair of former PinnacleFC amateur lightweight champions, asEric “Sizzle” Bledsoe (0-0 / fighting out of Wheeling, WV) takes on 15-fight amateur veteran Zach “Kid Chaos” Cook (0-0 / fighting out of Columbus, OH) and Nick “NyQuil” Browne (0-0 / fighting out of Uniontown, PA) will welcome Jeff “Captain Caveman” Denz (2-3 / fighting out of Buffalo, NY) to the Pinnacle cage for the first time.
GoFightLive has broadcast more than 2,000 live events over its seven years, and this will be the second consecutive PinnacleFC event that will be available via iPPV. Commentators Ryan Cavanaugh, Kyle Rozewski, and David McKinney will call the action on the broadcast, which is available for just $9.99.
